Gluten-Free "Whipped Cream" Frosting: Light and sweet, somewhat like whipped-cream.

Although it does not contain whipped cream or whipping cream, this vanilla frosting has a lightness that may remind you a bit of whipped cream.

Ingredients
1	Cup Milk
2	Heaping Tablespoons Cornstarch
1	Stick plus 3 Tablespoons Butter 
1	Cup Sugar
1-2	Teaspoons Vanilla (to taste)
Directions
  1. Blend the cornstarch and milk, then cook over medium heat, stirring until thick. Set aside to cool.
  2. Beat the butter until smooth, add the sugar and continue beating until very smooth (no granules).
  3. Add vanilla and the cooled, thickened cornstarch and milk mixture.
  4. Beat until smooth and fluffy like whipped cream.
